Alex Otanez

Alex currently serves as the COO for Shockoe, an emerging technology agency known for introducing impactful mobile, augmented reality, and voice solutions that drive today’s leading retail and CPG businesses. Shockoe is one of Virginia’s fastest-growing digital companies and is featured in Forrester, Gartner, and Inc, and Entrepreneur Magazine. Alex has more than 10 years of experience in digital transformation and app development in a range of industries including consumer goods, retail, and finance. He also serves on the board for Trolley Ventures and holds several advisory board roles in early-stage startups. Alex resides in Richmond, VA with his wife Mary, daughter Emma, and their dog, Midnight. When not focused bridging the digital gap, Alex is out fishing with Emma and Midnight, or on a new adventure with Mary.

Amber Kearney

Amber is a design thinking led digital product manager with an array of experiences across business, design and technology. With her strong consulting background, Amber quickly grasps business processes and can translate those into design and technical stories that drive toward solutions. As a Certified ScrumMaster (Agile Development), she facilitates design review sessions with technical stakeholders. She is comfortable explaining creative tenets, while maintaining technical depth. A natural collaborator, Amber works with cross-functional teams to solve technology problems by intersecting user centered design methodologies, product management, Agile principles, business and technology. By blending her business acumen with a passion for creative, Amber enjoys contributing to digital technology products that result in exceptional experiences for the end user and an impactful difference to the business. Prior to joining Capital One, Amber was a Digital Product Manager and Technology Consultant for the Federal Government and supported a variety of highly impactful products, systems and operations.

Andrew Miller

Andrew co-founded Workshop Digital in 2015 and serves as the VP of Strategy. He oversees client relationships and ensures his teams have everything they need to provide amazing results. After growing up in the suburbs of Atlanta during the 1980s, he decided it was time for a change of scenery and moved north to attend The University of Richmond. Armed with dual degrees in Computer Science and Spanish, it made perfect sense to seek another course change and begin a career in advertising and marketing at The Martin Agency and later, CarMax, before venturing out on his own in 2007. Andrew collects hobbies and devotes his time to his family, training for triathlons, and trying to grow vegetables in an expanding backyard garden.

Bree Basham is a Creative Director and the Practice Area lead for CapTech’s Customer Experience (CX) team. CapTech CX focuses on driving strategic approaches for enterprise-level business, brand, and marketing objectives. Bree manages a team of UX and UI designers, user researchers, and strategists who create customer-centered products and services, working closely with in-house developers and technology experts. She has led the design and creation of many experiences in the financial space, as well as for the large number of other industries CapTech serves.
