On June 30th, Microsoft announced our accelerated and expanded commitment to empowering people to get the skills they need to succeed as the economy changes. Helping everyone—wherever they are starting from—more easily develop the digital skills for in-demand roles is essential to supporting an inclusive economic recovery. That’s why we are committed to helping 25 million people worldwide learn new skills through a comprehensive approach. We are bringing together existing and new resources from Microsoft, including from LinkedIn and GitHub, with a focus on three key areas:
• Using data to identify in-demand skills and jobs
• Offering free access to learning paths and skilling resources needed for in-demand jobs
• Connecting these skills to low-cost certifications and free job-seeking tools to help people pursue jobs.
