Dana Kaplan

Dana has more than 17 years building, optimizing and leading Security and Risk teams with a passion for translating technical security concepts into understable business risk. Much of her career has been spent in San Francisco at FinTech companies, including at LendingClub, LendUp, as well as being one of the first employees at Zelle. She spent 9 years at KPMG in the Risk Consulting practice and helped build the FinTech consulting function. Most recently, Dana was in the CISO role at MIssion Lane, a Richmond based FinTech credit card company where she built and led the SOC, Security Engineering, AppSec, Security GRC / Tech Risk teams. Dana received a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech studying Business Information Technology. Dana lives in Richmond with husband Brad and two young children.

Sara Demeria

Sara Demeria is the Vice President, Deputy Chief Information
Security Officer for the National IT Organization of the Federal
Reserve System. She joined the Federal Reserve in January 2019 as
the Business Information Security Officer.
Sara came to the Federal Reserve from the multinational conglomerate General Electric, where she served as the VP
of Cyber Intelligence & Strategy. Her security career began at the FBI, where she was a Counterterrorism intelligence
analyst.
Sara received a Bachelor of Arts, International Relations (Middle Eastern focus), from the University of Virginia (Go
Hoos!). She has extensive industry recognized training in the space of intelligence analysis and strategic leadership.
On a personal note, Sara and her husband Robby reside in Richmond, VA, with their two young daughters.
