About the Event
Transgender and non-binary individuals have been historically marginalized and mistreated. As every human being – from our colleagues to our clients – deserves respect, it is vital for professionals to act from a place of awareness and cultural humility. This presentation establishes a strong foundation of knowledge for educated and supportive interactions, including education about basic terminology, information about the disparities faced by this population, and guidance for establishing safer environments and engaging in interactions informed by cultural humility.
