Karen is the Chief Data Officer for Citi Personal Banking and Global Wealth Management. She was accountable for Data Governance and Management, Stewardship, Data Quality, and Data Information Architecture. Karen Bernhard joined Citi 5 years ago in Mexico as the Chief Data Officer. She led the data transformation of CitiBanamex to modern data technology and tools.

At Liberty Mutual, Karen was the Head of Data Strategy for Customer Markets. Karen drove operational efficiency of Customer Markets business operations by providing strategic guidance on data and technology processes. She delivered key cross-functional use cases, such as Telematics and Customer 360, creating strategic and transformational value for Liberty’s customers, agents, and employees.

Cathy Doss joined the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond as Chief Data Officer in 2018. In this inaugural role at the Bank, she is responsible for developing data strategies, enabling business outcomes through analytics, and applying information management standards, practices and policies that drive innovation.

Prior to joining the Fed, Ms. Doss was the Multifamily Business Data Officer at Fannie Mae. She has extensive experience in data, technology and business strategy and served as Chief Client Officer for Equifax and in executive roles in data, marketing, and supply-chain management at Capital One including Senior Vice President and Chief Data Officer.

In 2020, and again in 2021 and 2022, Ms. Doss was recognized as one of CDO Magazine’s Global Data Power Women.

Ms. Doss earned a B.S. degree in Information Systems from James Madison University, an Associate degree in Nursing from Reynolds Community College, and Executive Leadership certification from Darden.
