Richmond Technology Council Announces 24th Annual Gala Award Winners!
May 9, 2019
RICHMOND, Va. (May 9, 2019) – The Richmond Technology Council, central Virginia’s catalyst for technology, held its 24th Annual Technology Awards Gala last night, announcing and honoring the winners in each award category. Over 700 of Richmond’s technology, business, education, and legislative leaders attended. In keeping with the innovation shown by all of the finalists, the Council added two new categories for this year’s event: Tech Influencer of the Year and The Next Gen Award.
The nominees included several local organizations and individuals that are actively helping advance central Virginia’s technology-based economy. Nick Serfass, Executive Director of the Richmond Technology Council (RVATECH) said, “This year’s winners all represent the most disruptive nominees in each category. They are companies, projects, or individuals that are moving our society forward, and tonight we recognized them, celebrated them, and learned from them. We are better, Richmond is better, and our world is better because of them.” The Gala was held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, where all the nominees, judges, and event sponsors came together to celebrate the winners. An independent panel of judges focused on the challenging task of selecting the ultimate award winners.
