This important role will support Virginia Housing through risk consultation efforts to help ensure achievement of business objectives and protection of assets. This role will also collaborate with key operational teams and governance bodies to further enhance Virginia Housing’s Risk and Security posture
Responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with Information Security Office to enhance the Information Security Program and developing synergies with Enterprise Risk
Reviewing, assessing, and documenting information system security risks and controls. Assisting with the documentation processes associated with development of Controls Matrices, Risk Assessments, and System Security Plans
Partnering with business units to facilitate completion of business continuity lifecycle to include: business continuity plan updates and testing, annual updates to business impact analysis to include: identification of critical resources and associated recoverability metrics, and disaster recovery plan evaluation
Supporting Virginia Housing’s Enterprise Governance through risk analysis, engage in discussions associated with new initiatives and change management, and providing overall support as needed to include documentation and meeting preparations
Qualified candidates must possess:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional/technical certification or relevant work experience.
Several years’ experience in risk management, information security, financial services, internal audit, or other professional work associated with the occupational field
Sufficient experience and knowledge in risk, with the ability to plan and administer major work programs required
High Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skill
Preferred experience includes performing Information Security Risk Assessments and Business Impact Analysis.
